£606,600 investment announced to improve Chester's public areas

Public areas at a key gateway into Chester, surrounding the significant new £80 million HQ development, will be transformed into high quality public space.  The former police headquarters will feature an 80-bed Abode hotel, a restaurant, 34 apartments and office space which was recently acquired by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Funding has also been granted for improvement works along the riverside to create a pedestrian link between the Old Dee Bridge and The Groves.
