Cheshire Employer & Skills Development Ltd (CESD) is an organisation managed by a board of trustees to develop and provide training, independent advisory, consultative, educational and other support services and advice to and for employers, individuals and those who are disadvantaged or disabled in the workplace.
CESD is delighted to announce a unique opportunity for employers and any other organisations located in the Cheshire and Warrington sub-region to bid for funding to support skills development and/or employment related activities. The fund is for activities which cannot be funded by any existing public funding streams, but projects may enhance or “add value” to public funds.
CESD are particularly interested in receiving applications focused on:
• Exciting, creative, innovative and different ideas which will have a major positive impact on the economy of Cheshire and Warrington.
• Improving the skills and employment base of Cheshire and Warrington.
• Increasing and improving the sharing of good practice or resources on skills development.
• Encouraging the pooling of resources and networking on training and development, particularly among smaller businesses.
• Ideas which will stimulate the demand for skills in Cheshire and Warrington.
Applications for funding must be matched by a financial contribution of equal value from the applicant, and further details of the criteria for assessing applications made, and the application form to be completed and submitted by 31st January 2009, are available for information on this website.
It should be noted that whilst Cheshire and Warrington Economic Alliance (CWEA) is facilitating potential access to this fund by helping to promote and raise awareness of its existence amongst any interested parties, it is not responsible for the management or distribution of this fund.
All decisions and responsibility for the distribution of this fund, and the approval and/or rejection of all applications made, are at the sole discretion of CESD and its board of trustees. No feedback will be given on the reasons for any decisions made.
Detailed conditions will apply to the allocation of any funding to successful applicants, and accepting these terms and conditions will be necessary for any application to be successful.
