Amongst the winners were two Cheshire businesses: Kerridge End Holiday Cottages in Macclesfield which won the Tourism for All award, and Arley Hall & Gardens, near Northwich, which won the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year.
Organised by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), the prestigious event aims to drive up the quality of the visitor experience across the region by rewarding excellence in the tourism industry. This year's event at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool, was hosted by BBC North West Tongiht presenter Ranvir Singh.
In addition to receiving a prestigious title and trophy the winners have the opportunity to represent the North West in the national awards, organised by Visit England in April 2010.
