Disney trainers’ Northwest visit

Northwest business professionals are being offered a rare opportunity to learn about sustainable, recession-beating business practices direct from one of the world’s most innovative and successful organisations.

The celebrated Disney Institute has accepted an invitation from Cheshire and Warrington Economic Alliance (CWEA), in partnership with the Northwest Regional Development Agency, to deliver two half-day master classes - one each around Leadership, and Customer Service Excellence - to an invited audience of Northwest business leaders, managers and entrepreneurs.

A limited number of places at each of the subsidised seminars are available by application, strictly on a first come, first served basis.

Disney Institute has been responsible for helping some of the world’s biggest names in commerce, manufacturing and the service industry to develop proven, business-boosting approaches to communication, leadership and trust.

The first master classes will be delivered to an audience of business people from Warrington and Cheshire on Wednesday, 18 March, at the Warrington Wolves Halliwell Jones Stadium conference facility.

A second day of master classes for a wider audience of Northwest business leaders will take place on Thursday, 19 March.

“We’re bringing a completely new learning experience for the business community in the Northwest of England,” said George Aguel, senior vice president for Walt Disney World®.

“The master classes will look at proven Disney practices that can be easily applied to other organisations, with a focus on ways to generate innovative ideas, use simple tools to enhance creativity, and improve the overall skill level of teams.”

He added: “The end result is a professional development experience that’s as entertaining as it is informative.”

CWEA Chief Executive Martin Lee added: “We’re thrilled to be able to achieve this UK ‘first’ in offering a unique learning experience that can usually only be accessed direct from a Disney location.”

“It will prove an invaluable experience for delegates and will help the Northwest maintain a vital edge during a time of growing uncertainty,” he added.
