Regional Spatial Strategy

The Regional Spatial Strategy provides strategic planning guidance on spatial and land-use planning in the North West. Produced by the North West Regional Assembly, the strategy informs both the Regional Transport Strategy and the Regional Housing Strategy, which set regional priorities for investment and provide strategic guidance for future development.

Transport

The Regional Transport Strategy is produced by the North West Regional Assembly.

Local Transport Plans are produced for Cheshire (by Cheshire County Council) and for Warrington (by Warrington Borough Council).

Housing

The Regional Housing Board is responsible for the production of the Regional Housing Strategy to inform strategic housing investment in the region. Members include representatives of the Government Office for the North West, the Housing Corporation, the NWDA, the North West Regional Assembly, English Partnerships and the North West Housing Forum.
