'Visit Chester & Cheshire' graced the turf of The Halliwell Jones Stadium for their latest Board Meeting.

The meeting was hosted by the Wolves' Chief Executive Andy Gatcliffe, the latest private sector representative to join the VCC Board, and was duly attended by Steven Broomhead, Chief Executive of the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).

VCC Chairman Mike Cooksley welcomed the opportunity for the board to meet in Warrington. “There’s no doubting the Borough’s role in growing the sub region’s visitor economy, and we are very impressed with the ideas and longer term vision that is being developed” said Mike.

“There’s tremendous potential here, particularly in building the area’s business tourism offer for which it has already established a strong reputation throughout the UK.”

Mike added: “We were delighted to have Steven Broomhead’s input into a number of important emerging issues and that will help us in ensuring that the Visitor Economy maximizes its potential.”

Wolves' Chief Executive Andy Gatcliffe commented: “ Warrington Wolves together with the borough-wide business community have an extremely important role to undertake in assisting the growth of the visitor economy within the region.”
